About Me

Hello, my name is Alexander Rosendahl and I am a Video Game Programmer currently studying at The Game Assembly in Malmö. I am a generalist programmer interested in trying out new things in regards to programming, and I am currently looking for an internship.

My gateway to programming primarily lies within Video Game Modding, which is a hobby I have had for many years. I find the process of creating something of my own and making both my vision and my team’s vision into reality fun, creating a new spin on a popular gamemode, adding more customization options and creating custom experiences for all to enjoy are just some of the many aspects i love about modding, be it either alone or as a team.

Modding is at its very nature limited though; cumbersome file size limits, a lack of documentation and limitations imposed by the game itself provide an interesting challenge, and overcoming these challenges are rather fun. However, I did not want to be shackled to such limitations, especially not when I had started to branch out from simple edits into more grand custom experiences, which is why I decided to pursue programming.

Aside from Video Game Modding my hobbies also include playing games, drawing, writing, reading and I also dabble in composing music.

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program.
As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly,
neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 19th.
Any internship offers can be made on April 26th, at the earliest.
